2. Myth: Herbal tea does not contain caffeine

Firstly, herbal teas are not considered authentic, as they are not processed from the Camellia sinensis plant. Instead, herbal tea is made by steeping flowers, herbs, seeds, roots, or barks of plants in hot water.

As far as the caffeine content is concerned, not all herbal teas are caffeine-free. For example, guarana tea and yerba mate tea contain caffeine. Hence it is always advised to read the label before buying herbal tea.


3. Myth: Green tea is healthier than black tea

Green tea is more popular than black tea; however, there is no other difference. Both contain powerful and beneficial antioxidants. According to a study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, the number of catechins absorbed from tea remains the same whether you add milk or not.


5. Myth: Tea bags are as good as loose tea

It is naturally easy to make tea using tea bags, but remember that tea leaves are always better than tea bags. This is because the leaves in tea bags are particles of peeled tea leaves. The tea leaves of teabags lack essential oils and aroma. So please use tea leaves.
